Oh well at least I am writing again and I hope that it continues.

Hello October...

you will be giving me a chance for a new start as it were.  To get my act together, to get more on schedule and stay on schedule.   To get more organized and to try and say goodbye to the stress that has been my life the past month.  Not sure how I am going to go about doing that but I have hope that with each passing day life will become more how I want it to be.

Bye Bye September....

can't say that I am sorry to see you go.   You have been one roller coaster ride after another but you usually are.  With the kids going back to school and trying to get things back on schedule, after none all summer. It has been ruff to say the least.  Would like to say that my day was uneventfully just once but never seems to happen.   Busy busy always busy.

Oh laundry how I hate thy....

let me count the ways:

one my daughter has more cloths that can't be put in the dryer then I do.  I may have a couple of pieces she has 10 times that, so does my son.

two if the neighbors or anyone walking by looks in my laundry room window three sets of eyes will be staring back at them.  My daughter likes the monster sweaters the ones with the ears on the hoods and some even have tails.  Plus the monster face on the front.

three I have run out of room on my line and had to go out and buy a three tier laundry drying rack to put said cloths on.

four cloths line drying takes way to long to dry, spends half the day waiting then it has wrinkles.

five once it is all dry it has to be put away.

six within a week or so I start all over again.

House style/ decor.....

I have been in more then one house that was for show and never looks lived in, always afraid to touch something out of fear I might break something or dirty it.  But I have been in houses on the other side of the coin, house so lived in and messy all you wanted to do is to stay standing and leave as soon as possible.  Mine I am proud to say is like the picture below except the mess is dog toys and maybe a basket of clean laundry in one of the bed rooms.

The Wind Today......

is unreal.  It is pretty high, winds gusting at over 100km an hour.  I hate when the wind is this high.  The house creaks and makes strange noises.  Pretty hard to sleep it is that noisy.  I always think the siding or the roof is going to go flying.  My family think I am crazy but I just can't help to think negative.  So many bad things can happen when the wind is this high.

So no nap for me today.  I am so tired. I guess I can get a bunch of things done online while I am waiting for the house to come down around my ears, lol. Come on lunch time, that is when they are suppose to die down.  Not even my music can drown out the sound.

Of course today had to be garbage day.  Thankfully the city has made it mandatory to put all garbage bags in a bucket that they supplied.  So no worries about it blowing away.  Granted the poor bucket was doing its best to stay up right especially after it was emptied.  Managed to get it down around the side of the house before it tipped over, not sure I would of been about to right it up if it had falling over.  Seen some recycling bags being blowed down the street.

This it my day so far.....

My New Bookcase......

I was finally able to find the time to put my new bookcase together.  My old one didn't match my new furniture, plus the bottom half was some what broke.  I think the only reason it was staying together was the shear magnitude of books I had in it and that it was in a corner out of the way.

I new I had alot of books but didn't really realize how much till I was taking them out of the old one to put in the new one.  As I layed them out on my bed, I quickly ran out of room.  I have  a double bed, lol.  It took me awhile but I got all my books back on the shelves and they are actually more organized this time.  I done them by author.  Plus I kept the top part of the my old bookcase, which I put in my living room so I could put my anthologizes, one off books and some other miscellaneous books.

The sad part of all this it made me realize I have more books that need to be read then I have read, sigh.

Intensive Core French.....

Had a meeting tonight at my daughters school.  She wants to do Intensive core French in Grade 6.  I wasn't sure how it worked since my son showed no interest in doing it when he was in Grade 6.  Just goes to show kids are all different.  There was like 6 parents there, not sure if that was a good thing or not.  But I figured alot of  parents had probably been through it for a previous child so they knew all about it.  Apparently they have like over 40 kids interested in the program for next year.

From what I took away from the meeting my daughter will love it.  Lots of learning but done in a very fun way.  Lots of interaction with other students and hands on learning as well.  Sounds like they make it pretty fun.

My only concern that it is done from September to the end of January then in February they have to do catch up in some subjects that they don't do during that time.  Subjects like Health, Religion, Social Studies and a couple more.  But as it was explained they do a project and it overlaps in 2 or more subjects so that is how they get the marks.

Maybe if she likes it she will do French immersion in Grade 7 and beyond.  Thankfully us parents don't need to know french in order for them to do it.  Any homework will be minimal and it sounds it will be the art portion that will be seen coming home it they don't get it done in class.  By the end of the time they will be able to read, write, speak and understand French at a Grade 9 level.  Very Interesting.

Wish me luck next year.
